Radio Systems® Corp. Names New CEO
Radio Systems® Corp., the industry leader in developing innovative pet product solutions and services through the PetSafe®, SportDOG® and Invisible Fence® brands, has named Willie Wallace as its new chief executive officer.
Knoxville, TN – Wallace, a 15-year veteran of the company, was formerly chief operating officer. He will be assuming the role from the company’s founder and long-time CEO Randy Boyd, who will remain as executive chairman. Boyd concurrently announced he will be serving Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam as commissioner of economic and community development.
“I have total confidence in Willie and the management team at Radio Systems to continue our company’s success, and look forward to serving our state to help start, grow and attract jobs for those who we are educating as a result of the Governor’s Drive to 55,” said Boyd. “Willie led our team through a very successful 2013 when I served as special advisor on higher education to the Governor.”

Wallace, 53, joined Radio Systems in 1999 as vice president of sales, where he was instrumental in accelerating the company’s growth through sales, marketing and new product development for the PetSafe® Brand. In February 2011, he was named COO with responsibilities for all day-to-day operations throughout the organization.
During his tenure, Wallace helped create initiatives that have delivered consistent growth, allowing for reinvestment in new jobs, new technologies and the communities in which Radio Systems Corp. lives and serves. Under his leadership, the company has launched hundreds of new products, made multiple strategic acquisitions and created new profitable brands for the company.
Wallace received his B.A. from Hastings College in Nebraska and M.B.A. from the University of Colorado. A native of Colorado Springs, Colo., he currently lives in Maryville, Tenn., with his wife Brenda, and Labrador Retrievers Jagger and Karlie. They have twin college-aged sons, Teague and Taylor.
